About Aviation Courseware
Simplifying flight concepts through visual learning
Aviation Courseware was founded by David J Howarth, an experienced pilot and flight instructor based in South Africa. It was created to solve a real problem in flight training — complex aviation subjects are difficult to learn from static textbooks alone.
By combining animated software lessons with digital manuals, Aviation Courseware makes instrument flying, multi-engine operations, and aircraft systems easier to visualise and understand.
Since 2004, our products have been used by student pilots, rated pilots, and flight training organisations across Southern Africa. Now, with the launch of our online learning portal, the same trusted training is accessible from anywhere in the world.
